Mid-Century Dee-Cee Pottery Jug

Fabulous mid-century modern jug or handled vase.  It’s marked Dee-Cee Foreign and 236/18.  Dee-Cee stands for Desmond Cooper who was an importer and wholesaler based in Birmingham, England. He dealt in pottery from a variety of sources. This piece was likely made by the German firm of Dümler & Breiden but as an off-brand piece for export. The 236/18 is a style mark (i.e., form #236 and finish #18).

It is  7 1/4 inches tall and about 5 1/2 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition.
