A great piece of Dansk’s Købenstyle cookware designed by Jens Quistgaard. This is enameled ceramic over iron and features bright white interior with a spectacular red exterior (except the inside of the lid, which is also red).
We think is the 4 quart size. In terms of diameter, it is about 9 1/4 inches in diameter. We measured this at the widest part of the pan, not including the handles. The actual opening diameter is slightly smaller due to the curved sidewall.
This lidded casserole is in good condition with some of the typical signs of use, like little flea-bite chips along the upper edges. There is some damage to the enamel on the bottom (see the pictures below) probably* from being dropped. Most of this injury is to the exterior but four faint marks have translated to the interior surface (also shown in the slide show).
*I have one of these and they can be as slippery as a greased trout when you’re washing them. So far I’ve managed to only drop mine upon a sink full of wineglasses, with predictable results. If it were to land upon a less delicate object I can see how damaging it could be.
