Two Piece Mid Century Modern Brasilia China Cabinet

1 12 009

Another piece by Broyhill in the Brasilia line. This is the china cabinet* which is readily distinguishable from both the small and large breakfront by its comparatively small size. The lower section measures 37 inches wide, 17 deep and 26 tall. It features two doors opening upon an interior compartment. The upper section measures 37 inches wide, 13 inches deep and 45 inches tall.  There are two shallow drawers and two glass doors that open upon three shelves.

This piece is in fair to good condition. It has some old damage from sunlight and the top of the bottom section has extensive discoloration and probably fixable staining. The worst of this is well covered when the upper section is in place.  All the pulls are present and intact and the curved laminate hyperboloid decorative pieces are in good shape too.

Check out the photos in the slide show below for details.

Original manufacturers numbers of 6140-60 and 6140-61 and known as the China Base and China Deck respectively. In case it’s not clear, the deck is the upper part.

  1. what is the overall height of the whole piece? Somehow I don’t think the upper is the 26″ stated. I love this and it is the perfect size for the space that I want to put it in. thanks, Renee
